  1. Excellent, November 16, 2010 Review by Aoy

I have used MDR-EX90LP for about 6 months now and have been extremely impressed with their performance. The bass is strong and punchy the mids feel full and the highs crisp. I have compared these directly with Shure, Sennheiser and a few others and I think the MDR-EX90LP have the best overall sound for what I listen to (pop/rock/electronic). It seems like it's the large driver that makes the difference and I'm surprised I haven't seen anyone else try something similar. They're also very comfortable. I can wear them all day at work and my ears won't get sore (which is something I can't say for the 'stuff it deep in your ear canal' type ear buds). They feel sturdy although i have lost the rubber piece of the end a few times having it catch on something while stuffing the buds into my bag. All things considered they're very good value for money. Best overall earbud I have owned by far. (Posted on 12/4/10)

I have been through many pairs of Sony closed type silicon earbuds over the years. I've owned the 51's, the 71's, and two other versions Sony doesn't make anymore. The 90's blow Sony's older models away.
The Sony in-ear line has always produced warmer, more pleasant sounds then Sure or Eytomotic earbuds, and the EX90's certainly continue that tradition.
Currently, there is no earbud I'd rather own or listen to.
Because of the price and the thin cord, I wouldn't wear these buds jogging or to the gym. Otherwise, if you have the money, buy ttreyk k. (ny,ny) (Posted on 12/4/10)

very satisfied with sound quality, very clear, good bass, mids and not muddy like the sl70's.
only compliant is the construction of the cabling. very thin wiring and could get yanked if not careful. (Posted on 12/4/10)

  4. One word - Amazing, November 5, 2010 Review by R. Kennedy

I was satisfied with the earphones that came with my iPod nano. However, after 5 months of use, it became faulty with the volume of the right speaker becoming totally soft. So I decided to treat myself to new earphones, and then I found these babies.

It just arrived today and I love almost everything about it. Sound quality is top notch, with perfect bass and superb clarity. Design is elegant as with most Sony products and the earbuds fit snugly in my ear. The only problem I have is that sound does indeed leak others have previously said. This doesn't really bug me, but it might for those who intend to use it in work environments. Other than that, its perfect! (Posted on 12/4/10)

  5. Impressive value!, October 27, 2010 Review by Chire (United Kingdom)

Though not in the same league with in-the-ear headphones such as the "Shure E4c" or "Ultimate Ears Super.fi 5 Pro" (both of which sound better, but cost hundreds more), these headphones possess formidable audio in there own right, including impressive bass and clear treble: overall, they possess a clear, warm sound, that belies its (relatively) reasonable price. They certainly sound better than the Sony MDR-EX71, as well as the Sony MDR-EX81; they are also superior sounding to the Shure E2c (I have done extended side by side comparisons with all the aformentioned headphones). Overall, as far as in-the-ear style headphones go, these are the best deal for the dollar. (Posted on 12/4/10)
